thats the name of the monday night get togethers we have at the store i work at in tacoma www.yorkshireyarns.com its a great time to come from 6-8 pm and bring a project to get away from your kids ( including the grown up ones ) visit with a bunch of women, possibly make some great new friends and of course we solve the worlds problems lol. well this monday night i am please to say we are having a jazz night!!!! if you go to the blog on the link above it will explain more about the school the jazz band is coming from, but the band is high school kids from a performing arts school. so these kids are some talented kids!!! we are hoping for a great turn out so that we can start doing this on a regular basis so that we can support this school. SOOOOOOOOOOO if you live in the tacoma area and you are a knitter OR even a crocheter YES you read that correctly a crocheter!!! ( can you believe it!!! a yarn store that actually welcomes crocehters!!!) bring a project and come listen to some jazz. you don't even have to buy anything. this isn't a pressure to get you to buy anything, we just want people to come support these kids. i'd really hate for them to get all set up and to have only a couple people show up. spread the word and come relax. hope to see you there

i finally got accepted for a ravelry account. i haven't gotten any farther then just setting up my name and my password but at least i got an account!!!! wohooooo. as soon as i get a flickr account and get my pictures added and all that jazz going i'll let ya'll know. but you can find me there as stayce. yeah i know real original, but i'm tired and wanted it something that I could remember lol let alone everyone else lol. i got and rss feed added to my hub at least so others can see what is going on so that if they want to join they at add their names to the waiting list. now that the people have added more servers its not taking as long. i had to share my good news with everyone. hope everyone's weekend is going well......ours is well, wet, but its tacoma, so thats to be expected. take care and start preparing, the viel has already parted, so don't be surprised if those who are sensitive start seeing things already.

one of the perks of working in a yarn store is that you get to meet some of the designers from time to time. well we are fortunate to have one live real close to us. her name is jennifer hagan. if you have the fall edition of interweave crochet you've seen her felted purse, its the last pattern in there. its real cute. we sell her patterns at the store. well today she gave a felting class!! how cool is that?? i wish it had been slower so i could of hovered and learned from her, but we were busy so i didn't get to hear much dangit. i can tell you jennifer is one of the sweetest, nicest, most down to earth people i've ever met, when she got to the store, one of the first things she did is give me a hug, which i SOOOOO needed, and it totally made my day. i believe her website is www.figheadh.com but don't quote me on that. i'll check it out tomorrow and correct it if it is wrong. it is a scot celtic word, she told me what it stands for, but right now i canna remember what it is lol. oh wait.........i've got it in a differnt place hold on while i look........ brb ok i also found a differnt site for her too. http://figknits.blogspot.com/ that is her blog spot if you want to read more about her.

 i hope everyone had a great day and their weekends turn out great. i'm going to go kick of my work clothes and get comfy, find something totally unhealthy to eat, and work on my harry potter scarf so i can have the crocheted version in the store soon. take care everyone.

well after some searching i found some pics i decided to add tonight. i hope you enjoy them. i'll add more later. i'm supposed to be working on this sweater for work, but i keep putting it off. i swear i'm going to work on it on monday and tues. monday is my on call day and tues is my day off, so i should get alot of it done. right now i'm working on a baby bunting for a baby present. i'll take a present of it before i give it to the mom.

   OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that reminds me!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't know how many of you have heard of the designer jennifer hagan but she will be teaching in our store tomorrow!!!!! i can't wait!! i bought a new interweave crochet magazine to have her autogragh lol and that one is going into a protective sleeve hehehehe. let me tell you right now jennifer is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. she just drops in all the time. one of these days i'll get her to stay for our monday night informal get togetherss called hooks and needles. we just get together work on a project and solve the world's problems. which btw we have decided the leaders need to get locked into a room with a complicated combined knitted and crochted project and can't come out til it is completed and correctly with no mistakes WHILE talking about the issues at hand. how much you wanna bet things would get handled alot better.
